Why we're getting behind Ashley Jackson and London 2012.

We are delighted to announce that we are now supporting local hockey player, Ashley Jackson, as he attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Following the appointment of BMW Group as the Official Automotive Partner of the London 2012 Games, BMW is now actively supporting British athletes, such as Ellie Simmonds and Louis Smith, via the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Meanwhile, in line with the Performance Team initiative, BMW dealers like us will be working with local athletes, supporting their endeavours to qualify for Team GB or ParalympicsGB.

Ashley Jackson trains locally at the East Grinstead Hockey Club. Kent–born Ashley has been playing hockey since the age of seven and, at just 23, has already competed at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, won a European Championship gold medal and been named World Young Player of the Year.

‘This is just so great,’ said Ashley. ‘I can't thank Cooper Tunbridge Wells and BMW enough. I spend a lot of time driving to and from training sessions and driving to events ahead of London 2012, so having a brand new BMW 1 Series is amazing. Suddenly, I'm the envy of all my friends!’
